Does your workplace stock period products?

Most offices stock toilet paper and soap without a second thought. Nobody debates whether that's "necessary." But period products — used by roughly half the workforce for years of their working life — are still treated as something people should sort out themselves.

That gap costs more than people realise. In one Australian survey by Share the Dignity, 40% of respondents said they'd called in sick to work because of their period, and 1 in 5 had gone without a proper product due to cost or access. Separate research from the Period Positive Workplace initiative found over half of employees who menstruate had faced productivity challenges tied to their period — and 73% said things improved once their employer started providing products. Worth noting: some of this research base is still growing, but the pattern is consistent.

This isn't a big ask. It's a stash of pads and tampons sitting next to the soap and toilet paper that's already there. That's why we built a corporate portal at Half of Us - log in and order at discounted rates for ongoing supply and bulk ordering across multiple office locations, so businesses with more than one site can manage it all in one place. And because 50% of our profits go to supporting women's shelters and domestic violence survivors and menstrual education, stocking your bathrooms helps more than you think.

Low bar. High impact. More people feeling acknowledged and taken care of.
How good is that.
