At Half of Us, we want you to feel confident every time you shop with us. We're committed to providing high-quality organic cotton, plastic-free period products and to standing behind everything we sell.

This Refund Policy is governed by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Your statutory rights under the ACL are not limited or excluded by this policy.

 

1. Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law

Under the ACL, our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a remedy if a product:

       Is not of acceptable quality (including if it is faulty, unsafe, or not durable)

       Does not match the description or sample provided on our website

       Is not fit for the purpose for which it is ordinarily supplied

For a major failure, you may choose between a full refund or replacement. For a minor failure, we may repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the ACL or any other applicable legislation.

 

2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

We will offer a refund, replacement, or exchange if your order:

       Arrives faulty or damaged

       Does not match the product description on our website

       Is the wrong item due to a fulfilment error on our part

To lodge a claim, please contact us at info@halfofusco.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include:

       Your order number

       A description of the issue

       Photographs of the fault or incorrect item where possible

We will respond within two (2) business days to arrange an appropriate remedy. Where a return is required due to a fault or error on our part, we will cover reasonable return postage costs.

 

3. Change of Mind

Due to the personal and intimate nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind. Please review your order carefully before completing your purchase.

If you are unsure about a product, please contact us at info@halfofusco.com.au before purchasing and we will do our best to help you make the right choice.

 

4. Returned and Uncollected Parcels

If your order is returned to us because:

       An incorrect delivery address was provided at checkout

       The parcel was not collected within the timeframe specified by the carrier

We will attempt to contact you using the email address provided at the time of purchase. If we are unable to reach you within 14 days of the parcel being returned to us, we reserve the right to donate the product to a domestic violence support organisation aligned with our mission.

If you wish to have your order resent, you will be responsible for any additional postage costs. If you would prefer a refund instead, we will refund the product cost less the original shipping fee and any return shipping fee charged to us by our carrier.

 

5. Subscription Orders

For subscription orders, charges that have already been processed for the current billing cycle are non-refundable, unless the product arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect as outlined in Section 2 above.

You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next scheduled renewal date by contacting us at info@halfofusco.com.au. Cancellations take effect from the following billing cycle.

If you believe a subscription charge has been processed in error, please contact us promptly and we will investigate.

 

6. Wholesale and Trade Orders

Refund and return terms for wholesale and trade orders are governed by your wholesale agreement with Half of Us Co Pty Ltd. If you do not have a wholesale agreement in place, please contact us at info@halfofusco.com.au to discuss your situation.

 

7. How Refunds Are Processed

Once a return or refund is approved:

       Refunds will be processed to your original payment method

       Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider

       We will notify you by email once your refund has been processed

We are unable to redirect refunds to a different payment method or account than the one used for the original purchase.

 

8. Return Postage

Return postage costs are handled as follows:

       Where the return is due to a fault, damage, or error on our part — we will cover reasonable return postage costs

       Where the return is for any other reason — return postage costs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and are generally the responsibility of the customer

We recommend using a tracked postage service for any returns, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit on their way back to us.
